This free course, designed for those who work as Peer Specialists, offers an overview of the health care industry and its array of services, costs, accessibility options, system organization, and financing. This course also shows the linkage between the primary health care system and the behavioral health care system, and addresses future roles in new integrated systems for Peer Specialists.  2.5 continuing education credits/hours are available with successful course completion.


This course is designed to assist persons in preparing to take the certification examination for the Certified Recovery Support Specialist credential at the Florida Certification Board.  It is also helpful for persons who are applying for the Certified Recovery Support Specialist credential since much of the core knowledge is similar. Five (5) continuing education credits or contact/clock hours are available for full completion of this course.

This webinar-based course is for administrators, managers and supervisors who wish to increase their understanding of organizational readiness to provide professionally-delivered peer support services, and learn how to develop the structural supports necessary for a successful peer support program.  1.5 continuing education units/hours are available with successful completion of the course exam.
